Bob Showalter Joins The Gardens at DePugh Nursing Center Board of Directors

ORLANDO, FLA. (April 28, 2021) – The Gardens at DePugh Nursing Center recently welcomed Robert H. (Bob) Showalter as a new board member.

Bob is the retired Chairman of Showalter Flying Service, Inc., an aviation service business that operated on the Orlando Executive Airport from 1945 until 2015. During his 43-year long career, he sold over 600 aircraft, was active in aircraft management for local corporations, and helped host a record nine National Business Aviation Association Conventions on the Showalter ramp.

A native of Winter Park, Florida, Bob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Rollins College and his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins. Married for 50 years to wife and former Showalter Flying Service President Kim Showalter, they have two grown children, both happily active in the aviation businesses as the third generation.

Bob enjoys singing, recreational flying, walking tours, fishing, a second home in Vermont – and his favorite hobby – being a grandfather to his four grandsons.
