The Gardens at DePugh

With a patriotic “I Voted” sticker on her dress, Nancy Mosgo was among five residents who participated in early voting Oct. 16 at The Gardens at DePugh.

A representative from the Orange County Supervisor of Elections was on hand to provide assistance with casting a ballot.

“Being able to help someone take part in the democratic process is a very rewarding experience,” said activities director Michael Roberts, who organized the event. “It’s just one way the staff at The Gardens is committed to our residents.”

Florida law allows people in assisted living facilities or nursing homes to receive supervised voting at the request of an administrator. Before each election, The Gardens offers residents on-site access to early voting.
