The Gardens at DePugh Earns Five-star Rating

The Gardens at DePugh Earns Five-star Rating From The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

The Gardens at DePugh recently received a five-star overall rating – the highest possible score – from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal entity that provides funding and oversight for healthcare programs.

During the quarterly rating process, each facility undergoes an inspection of health, staffing and quality measures. The health inspection rating contains information from the last three years of on-site inspections, while the staffing rating encompasses the number of hours of care provided on average to each resident each day. The quality measure rating assesses how well each facility cares for residents’ physical and clinical needs.

The CMS rating provides information on every Medicare- and Medicaid-certified nursing home in the country, including over 15,000 nationwide. In Florida, 166 facilities earned the top score. Detailed facility scores are available via the Nursing Home Compare feature at www.medicare.gov.

“All of us at The Gardens are proud to be counted among the state’s best nursing homes,” said Millie Sorger, the facility’s administrator. “This rating reflects our staff’s dedication to quality, compassionate care.”
